Fine Western Saddles is a family-run business built on a lifelong passion for horses and the Western industry. Founded 12 years ago by owner Retchie Thomas, the business began during retirement as a way to stay connected to the horse world and help riders find quality saddles that truly fit their needs. For the past eight years, Fine Western Saddles has proudly been a dealer of Bob's Custom Saddles.

A Story Rooted in Experience

The business began when Retchie’s wife, an active rider, needed help finding a show saddle. Although she rides Western pleasure, she ended up choosing a cutting saddle. After seeing the quality and demand for that style, Retchie began sourcing and selling similar saddles. What started as a simple solution quickly grew into a successful retirement venture.

Today, Fine Western Saddles operates primarily online, with a dedicated shop located on the owner’s property in Rome, Georgia.

Fine Western Saddles specializes in Western disciplines, primarily focusing on cutting and reining saddles. While they offer a variety of Western styles, their expertise is strongest in performance-oriented saddles rather than barrel or roping saddles.
