Terms & Conditions – Try Before You Buy Demo Saddle Program

Thank you for your interest in Bob’s Custom Saddles exclusive Try Before You Buy Demo Program! We designed this program so you can ride and evaluate one of our saddles on your own horse for up to 14 days — completely risk-free — before deciding to purchase.

Program Overview

Qualified customers may test a Bob’s Custom Saddle on their horse for exactly 14 days from the delivery date. This gives you real-world experience with fit, balance, and performance so you can buy with total confidence.

Shipping & Security Hold

Bob’s ships the demo saddle to you at no upfront cost. A temporary authorization hold of $3,000 (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card. This hold is fully refundable or convertible to purchase credit when the saddle is returned in acceptable condition. You must provide a valid credit card and agree to these terms before we ship.

Demo Period & Usage

You have 14 calendar days from delivery to test the saddle. We encourage you to ride it under normal conditions, but please limit use to light-to-moderate riding so the saddle remains in like-new condition for future customers. During your trial you will have direct access to our saddle fit specialists by phone or email for any questions.

When You Decide to Purchase

Great news! We will immediately release the $3,000 hold and apply the full amount as credit toward your new Bob’s Custom Saddle. Many customers upgrade to a fully customized version during or right after their demo — we’ll make the process seamless and often include a priority build slot.

Return Instructions


Return the saddle within the 14-day period in its original packaging.
We will inspect the saddle upon receipt. If it is returned in acceptable “like-new” condition (normal light riding wear only), we will deduct only:
$300 shipping & handling (covers both directions)
$100 cleaning & inspection Total deduction: $400. The remaining $2,600 will be released to your card.

Condition of the Saddle & Damage Policy

The saddle must be returned clean, undamaged, and in the same condition as received, allowing only for normal riding wear.
Acceptable: Minor dirt, light sweat marks, or very light stirrup leather creasing.
Not acceptable: Cuts, scratches, deep soiling, oil/conditioner residue, structural damage, or excessive wear. You are fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage while the saddle is in your possession.

Late Returns

Any saddle not received by Bob’s within 7 business days after the 14-day period ends will be subject to a $25 per day late fee (up to a maximum of 14 days). After 21 days the hold may be converted to a purchase or forfeited.

Reservation & Availability

Demo saddles are limited and subject to availability. Your reservation is confirmed only after the security hold is authorized and we have verified your horse/rider information.

General Provisions

Participation is at Bob’s Custom Saddles’ sole discretion.
These terms may be updated; the version in effect at the time of your request applies. All disputes arising from this program will be governed by the laws of the State of Texas. By submitting your demo request and providing your credit card information, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
