Design and Features

Bob’s Custom Saddles is excited to introduce our new line of Mounted Shooting Saddles, designed with input from professional Cowboy Mounted Shooter Carrie Hirshberg, who as a Ladies Level 6 shooter has won the Overall Cowgirl title at Major, Open Eliminator Showcases, Double Downs and has a claimed a mounted shooting world record.

With her input and expertise as a champion mounted shooter, we have created a close-contact, high performance saddle with special features for mounted shooters that maintain our standards of quality, craftsmanship and performance.

Our specially designed Mounted Shooter trees feature an 8 1/2” tall front end with modified swells tipped forward to allow space for the rider’s holster.

The single skirt design has a close-contact cut-up and smaller overall shape to help cut down on weight. Choose between on tree or in skirt rigging.

The fenders are designed, cut and placed for rider seat and and leg stability, while providing full mobility through corners and freedom of leg control.

The seat and cantle are designed to provide support, pocket and mobility—especially moving side to side as you navigate your course.

Coloring

You may find coloring options that you like on this page; otherwise we encourage you to view our other saddle models as we can use any of our other saddle coloring on new Mounted Shooting Saddles.

Rigging

Choose from in skirt or on tree rigging. Optional rigging cover plate for in skirt rigging.

Skirt Shape

Select from our SB #1 or SB #2 skirt patterns. SB #1 features a more rounded design, and SB #2 is more square in shape.
