Casey Hinton’s career began in Ohio, where he was inspired by the early years of the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. His foundation is built on the teachings of the "Grandfather of Reining," Dale Wilkinson, whom Casey studied under while attending Findlay College.

His journey to the top was a steady climb through the industry's most respected programs:

• The Arizona Era: Casey moved to Arizona to work as an assistant for Doug Lilly, eventually spending several formative years with the legendary Al Dunning. During this time, he mastered the "all-around" versatility that allows him to develop horses with exceptional mental balance.
• The Texas Expansion: In the early 2000s, Casey and his wife, Kathy, moved to Whitesboro, Texas, where they founded Cedar Ridge Stallion Station.
• Entrepreneurial Success: In 2021, they transitioned the breeding side of Cedar Ridge to Josh and Kelsey Crawley, allowing Casey to focus exclusively on Casey Hinton Reining Horses, where he continues to train aged-event prospects and coach high-level Non-Pros.
