Training Experience:

Reining is a discipline of high-speed maneuvers and absolute control, demanding a trainer who balances athletic intensity with mental focus. Jordan Larson has spent over 20 years perfecting a program that emphasizes a "quiet" hand and horse that is truly responsive to its rider.

Growing up in Cottonwood, California. Jordan was born into the horse industry. He won his first reining competition at the age of 10 and trained his first reiner by the age of 14. After high school, he sought out the best in the business to refine his craft, working under NRHA Hall of Famer Doug Milholland, as well as industry greats Darren Stancik and Pete Kyle. These elite mentorships provided him with a comprehensive education in both "West Coast" and "Texas" styles of riding.

Today Jordan and his wife, Taylor- also a champion professional runner- run Larson Performance Horses in Whitesboro, Texas. His program is highly focused on the aged event industry, specifically the development of two and three-year-old prospects for the Futurity. Jordan's philosophy is rooted in consistency and patience, ensuring every horse has the foundational "broke-ness" required to become a long-term show partner.
